a message from the interfraternity council president
Greetings all,
The Interfraternity Council is comprised of 2000 plus undergraduate men from Georgia Tech that make up our 31 social fraternities. It is our mission to ensure that our members positively impact the Georgia Tech community by promoting scholastic achievement, providing for social, recreational and civic activities for our members, and promoting the love for Georgia Tech.
This year the Interfraternity Council Executive Board and Committee Chairmen are working to ensure a bright future by actively representing our members to the administration and the Student Government Association and by planning activities for our members and other students that promote the talents of the Greek Community. We have many exciting upcoming events and plans for 2008 including campus blood drives, the Greek recycling program, Habitat for Humanity, a benefit casino night, a spring event for the children of faculty and staff, promoting sustainability within our housing area, and numerous philanthropic events in addition to our usual activities like Greek Week and Homecoming. We are also glad to have the support of the Collegiate Panhellenic Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council for all of these endeavors.
Please remember the Interfraternity Council is here to serve our members, our university and our community; so if you have any questions concerning recruitment or the power of the Greek Community, do not hesitate to ask me.
Interfraternally,
Andrew deRussy
2009 Interfraternity Council President
